Hand Washing Hall of Fame welcomes Burton Pre-School

Well done Glebe Pre-School, Burton-on-Trent

Children at The Glebe Pre-School discovered the fun of washing their hands using a Kiddisynk mobile sink from TEAL.

“…it’s a toy that teaches a life-saving lesson with great fun.

“They love putting the soap on their hands, the feel of the warm running water and enjoy using the paper towels to dry their hands properly,”

said Karen Pearch, treasurer of independent and charity-run Glebe Pre-School.

“Each child gets a sticker when they do it properly for the first time which is easy if they follow the pictures on TEAL’s poster.“

About Glebe Pre-School

The Glebe Pre-School has been established for more than 40 years in Stapenhill, Burton-Upon-Trent and caters for children between the ages of 2 and 5.

It holds a charity status and is run by an enthusiastic management committee made up of volunteers. They are registered with Ofsted and all staff are qualified to the relevant level and have been checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

They are also members of the Pre-school Learning Alliance. Their aims are to provide as many opportunities as possible for the children to learn through play in a safe environment, developing skills which will give them the best start in life. They also aim to support parents/carers as children take their first steps towards independence.

Sometimes it can be a more difficult time for parents than for the children!

Mobile sinks for younger children

Hand washing is the most important lesson a child can learn and acquiring it is an essential lifelong skill.

The Kiddiwash range of warm water hand wash units are perfect for smaller hands – and are ideal where a portable solution is required.

Whether you require a larger wheeled unit such as the KiddiSynk, or the ultra portable Kiddiwash Xtra, you can ensure that all children in your care are able to wash their hands inside or out.
