Learning about hand washing is important – and fun!
Well done to Kinder Day Nursery in Birmingham for their wholehearted support of TEAL’s KiddiWash clean hands competition which was launched to enable young children to learn about the importance of hand washing.
All children learn how to wash their hands effectively, using soap and warm water and disposable paper hand towels. They need to be taught to thouroughly wash their hands:
- Before meals
- After using the toilet
- After dirty play, in doors or outdoors.
Equally importantly, children should all have access to suitable warm water hand washing facilities, whether they’re learning about food hygiene, or playing out of doors.
Congratulations to Kadeem and Omairah from Kinder Day Nursery for their wonderful efforts – shown above
About Kinder Day Nurseries
Kinder Day Nurseries have two sites, in Birmingham and Stechford. Kinder nurseries provide day care for babies, toddlers, and preschool children. Their continued success is uniquely dependent upon the cooperation of each and every member of their team and the partnership with parent’s/carers and external agencies.
Their website states “Choosing a Nursery is a big decision and one that comes at a very emotional time. Here at Kinder Day, we understand what is important to both parents and children, and our aim is to provide the perfect solution to any parent looking for childcare for their little one.”
Teaching effective hand washing
As well as initiating this exciting competition, TEAL have provided a library of free to download PDF documents – all with the Early Years Foundation Stage – and of course hand washing – in mind.
