The most important lesson that a child can learn
Learning outside the classroom has been increasing in popularity in the UK over the last few years – yet hand hygiene is a top priority. As a result, teachers and support staff must be aware of both the need to provide hand washing facilities – and to teach children how to use them, according to a recent report on the QA Education website.
The article quotes Manty Stanley, MD of TEAL Patents who said
“As we approach the next school term and anticipate the arrival of the new cohort of pupils, it is essential that pupils are educated on good hand hygiene and the perils of poor habits from a young age.”
The report emphasises that “…it is crucial that all new pupils are taught good hand hygiene habits in order to minimise the spread of common, contagious infections such as colds and flu.”
