All EYFS settings need to make soap and water the highest priority
“Handwashing in childcare is crucial not only for our own health, but others, too” begins an EYFS focused article on the Twinkl website. It provides invaluable advice, to preschool and nursery providers “on how to wash your hands effectively, and teach the little ones in your life that handwashing can save lives!”
In short, says the article by Jess McColl, “Washing our hands has never been so important.” It’s no longer taken for granted since effective hand hygiene became such a priority during the pandemic: and it’s front and centre again as a result of the unusually hight levels of norovirus. (And remember, hand gels don’t work against norovirus).
